"I can't imagine a more beautiful place to spend a summer. Who wouldn't want to live in a French chateau and make art! There's really nothing like Berridge anywhere else in the world."
“Why France for an acting program?” If you had the chance to spend even one day at Château le Mont Epinguet, you’d know the answer. A world frozen in time, Epinguet is nothing short of magical. It offers a rare opportunity to live not just in another century but in another dimension where the pressures of daily life are far, far away.
Berridge offers an intimate and inspiring setting that presents an extraordinary opportunity for a young actor to discover and develop their talents, make new friends, and see one of France’s most beautiful regions. Built in 1751, Château le Mont Epinguet is steeped in history and tradition. Originally a prosperous farming estate, the chateau once stood in over 2000 acres in the richest region of France in the 18th century. During WWII, the château was occupied by the Germans as a communication headquarters.
Accommodation is split between the château and the “gites”, carriage houses now converted into residences. Students room together in doubles or triples in same sex accommodation, divided either by floor or by building. Three meals daily are provided by our in-house chef and consist of “continental” style breakfast (croissant, fruit, yogurt, cereal) sandwiches, soups and salads for lunch and a hot, sit-down dinner.
