"I cannot image a more beautiful place to study theatre. The chateau, the countryside, the whole experience of France inspires your art in a way that no program in the US could."

Why come all the way to France for an acting or film program? Because then you'll be in FRANCE! The history, the culture, the food; you’ll experience it all.  Our program is located in Normandy, France, one of the most beautiful and culturally rich regions in all of Europe.  The program includes full day excursions to the D-Day Landing Beaches, the medieval town of Bayeux and Mont St Michel, a thousand year old monastery atop a tidal island. You'll also enjoy trips to local French markets, cafes, châteaus and gardens, the beautiful beaches at Carteret, Valognes, our local town, and Bricquebec, a medieval village with a castle dating back to the 11th century.

MONT ST MICHEL - Home to the Benedictine monks for over 700 years, Mont St Michel is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the second most popular tourist attraction in France outside of Paris with over 3 million visitors a year. You’ll have a guided tour of the abbey and spend the day exploring the winding cobblestone streets of the medieval village and enjoying the far-reaching views of the bay from the fortified ramparts.

BAYEUX - A picturesque medieval town, Bayeux is home to the 900-year-old Bayeux Tapestry a 230 foot long embroidered cloth which depicts the Norman Conquest of England in 1066. Each summer in the first weekend of July, the town closes the streets to all traffic and hosts a medieval festival. You’ll have a guided tour of the tapestry and lots of time to explore the festival which features stalls of artisanal food, clothing and crafts as well as street performers, musicians and live theatre.

OMAHA BEACH - One of the five beaches that make up the D-Day Landings, Omaha Beach was the site of a hard-fought battle by American infantry troupes on June 6, 1944. Our trip starts the museum at the American Cemetery, an interactive and detailed overview of the planning and execution of D-Day. You’ll have time to view the cemetery, a moving memorial to the 30,000 American service men and women who are buried there and hike down to the beach.

LOCAL HIGHLIGHTS - The region maintains an untouched quality and its picturesque villages, unspoiled coastline and numerous historic sites are some of the best in all of Europe. You’ll have lunch at the French market in Bricquebec, a medieval town centred around a 400 year old castle ruin, explore the city of Cherbourg, a historic military port and the first stop of the RMS Titanic, and spend an afternoon on the pristine, white sand beaches at Carteret.
