© 2020 Berridge Programs

Berridge Programs was started by Artistic Director Andrea Mardon in 2008 under the name Acting Abroad.  For twelve wonderful summers we have brought young artists from around the world together with professional actors, directors, producers, choreographers, writers and filmmakers to study the craft of acting and filmmaking in the extraordinary setting of Chateau le Mont Epinguet in Normandy, France.  We are dedicated to delivering the highest quality programs that offer young artists the unique opportunity to combine a performing arts camp, college residential program and study abroad experience.

We are proud of the experience we provide for our students.  The key to our success lies in  a set of core beliefs that infuses our teaching and life on our programs. At Berridge:

We believe that each student is an individual artist in their own right with gifts and talents that are completely unique to them and have a value and place in the world.

We believe in providing a safe, nurturing environment where all the artists can take risks, explore feelings and share their art free of judgement and criticism.

We believe in promoting a non-competitive environment where each artist feels valued as an individual from day one, is never compared to any other artist and feels that they have equal access to all resources and equal consideration for all available roles.

We believe that the opportunity to live in this beautiful, historic community is integral to the learning experience we provide.

We believe that the artists around us are integral to our creative process and indeed, to our survival.  Respect, encourage and collaborate with your peers. It gives you a much better chance at success and it’s a lot more fun.
